What’s the investment for a new WordPress website?

WordPress website projects typically start at $4,000. The final cost depends on the type of website and the features it needs to meet your goals. After an initial consultation, you’ll receive a detailed, customized proposal built around your needs, so you know exactly what you’re investing in.

How long does a WordPress website project take?

The project timeline will depend on the project size and requirements but most projects take 7-8 weeks from kickoff to launch. The exact timeline depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come together, and you’ll get a clear schedule with your proposal.

What will you need from me to get started?

It depends on the website, and it’s covered during the discovery and kickoff calls, but these are the assets typically requested:

A high-resolution logo file
Your branding package (if you have one)
Photos of you and your team
Staff bios
Photos of your business
Page and services content
The email address for form submissions
Any videos you’d like on the site
Login details for your existing website

If you already have a website, much of this can likely be pulled from it, so you may not need to provide everything.

Can I update my website myself once it's built?

Yes. Every WordPress site is built to be easy to manage, and each project includes a training session so you can confidently update text, images, and other content. If you’d rather not handle it yourself, ongoing support plans are available.

I already have a website. Can you redesign it or move it to WordPress?

Yes. Swoon can redesign existing WordPress sites and/or migrate an existing site from any platform, such as Wix, Squarespace, or older custom builds. etc. Your content carries over, and your SEO is protected along the way.

Do you provide hosting and ongoing support?

Yes. Most clients set up their own hosting account, so they always own and control their website, and Nicole will recommend the right host and handle the setup for you. WP Engine is a popular choice for fast, secure managed WordPress hosting with daily backups, SSL, and security monitoring built in. If you’d prefer Swoon to manage hosting for you, that’s available too.

Nicole offers ongoing support plans that cover updates, maintenance, fixes, and improvements whenever you need them.

Will my website be optimized for search engines?

Yes, every site is built with SEO best practices, including fast load times, clean code, mobile responsiveness, proper page structure, and metadata. That gives your site a strong foundation to be found in search.

Why WordPress instead of Wix, Squarespace, or another website builder?

Website builders, including newer AI-powered ones, can be a good fit for very simple sites, but businesses often outgrow them. WordPress gives you more room to grow:
