What's the investment for a Shopify website?
New Shopify build projects typically start at $4,300. The final cost depends on the size of your catalog and the features and integrations your store needs. After an initial consultation, you’ll receive a detailed, customized proposal built around your goals, so you know exactly what you’re investing in.
How long does a Shopify website take?
What will you need from me to get started?
It depends on your store, and it’s covered during the discovery and kickoff calls, but these are the assets typically requested:
- A high-resolution logo and your branding package (if you have one)
- Product photos, descriptions, prices, and variants (sizes, colors, etc.)
- Shipping rates, return policy, and other store policies
- Page content, such as About and FAQ pages
- Access to your Shopify account, or your existing store if you have one
If you already have a store, much of this can be carried over, so you may not need to provide everything.
Can I manage my store myself once it's built?
Yes. Shopify makes it easy to add products, manage orders, and update content, and every project includes a training session so you can confidently run your store day to day. If you’d rather hand things off, ongoing support plans are available.
Can you move my existing store to Shopify?
Yes. Swoon migrates stores from platforms like WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, BigCommerce, and Etsy, carrying over your products, customers, and order history where possible, and setting up redirects to protect your SEO.
Do I need to pay for Shopify separately?
Yes. Your Shopify subscription is billed directly by Shopify, so you always own your store and account. As a Shopify Partner, Swoon can build your store in a development store with no Shopify subscription required during the build, then transfer ownership to you at launch. Hosting, security, and SSL are all included with Shopify, and Nicole will help you choose the right plan for your business.
Can you add apps and integrations?
Yes. Subscriptions, reviews, email marketing, loyalty programs, wholesale, bundles, and more. Swoon sets up and customizes the right apps for your store and keeps the list lean so your site stays fast.
Will my store be optimized for search engines?
Every store is built with SEO best practices, including fast load times, clean structure, mobile responsiveness, and optimized product and collection pages. That gives your store a strong foundation to be found in search.
